About Our at Home Care Services

A Place At Home started out of our founders’ own needs for support while navigating the uncertainty and anxiety of caring for aging loved ones. That’s why we’re so committed to providing excellent, consistent, and comprehensive at-home care to families throughout the Collin County area, including Plano, McKinney, Allen, Frisco, and the surrounding communities.

Meet Our Owner

Joe Christie

Owner

Joe was contacted by a social worker to inform him that his father’s Alzheimer’s disease had left him unable to care for himself. He was named as his guardian. This eye-opening experience led him and his wife to pursue the senior care business in order to lessen the burden and uncertainty for both seniors, and their families and to be the professional resource providing compassionate care solutions.

Janis Christie

Owner

Janis had personal experiences that made her aware of the need for professional personalized assistance to seniors and their families during transitions from a current situation to the next stage in their life. She watched her father work his way through the difficult process of balancing her mother’s needs with his own by himself. She took her experiences and brought a solution to North Texas.
