Overnight Home Care
A Place At Home North Raleigh provides Overnight Home Care services in Raleigh, Wake Forest, and the surrounding areas of North Carolina. Our overnight caregiver will care for your loved ones in the evenings and remain awake through the night to provide assistance as needed.
Caring for aging loved ones presents its challenges, particularly when it comes to ensuring their comfort and safety overnight. Even if family members can provide care during the day, nighttime presents unique difficulties. Relatives may not always be available to stay overnight, and even when they are, they need to have time to rest. In the event of an emergency during the night, having no one immediately available to respond can pose serious risks. To ensure your loved ones are never left alone at night, hiring an overnight caregiver offers a practical and reassuring solution.
At A Place At Home – North Raleigh, we offer non-medical overnight care services in Raleigh and Wake Forest to support seniors who require a caregiver’s presence throughout the night. Our overnight caregiver will arrive each evening to provide care and assist your loved ones in getting to bed. We will also stay overnight and assist in the morning. During the night, our caregiver will be nearby to provide care or respond to emergencies, giving you and your family much-needed peace of mind.

Each of our overnight caregivers undergoes a thorough background check and training, so you can trust they will provide effective care while treating your loved ones with compassion and respect. Our overnight caregivers are all licensed and insured.
Our overnight care services begin in the evening, when our caregiver will assist your loved ones with their evening routines, such as getting ready for bed and ensuring their comfort for the night. While they rest peacefully, our caregiver stays close by, either in the bedroom or nearby, to check in and help with late-night bathroom trips or any other needs. We’re also there to respond quickly in case of an emergency, giving you peace of mind throughout the night.
In the morning, we can help your loved ones get out of bed and assist them with their morning routines, including bathing and getting dressed.

Our overnight caregivers provide the following:
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Transferring into and out of bed and helping with changing positions while in bed
- Assistance using the restroom at night
- Medication reminders
You should consider overnight care for your loved ones if they deal with any of the following:
- Impaired vision: If your senior loved ones have impaired vision, moving around the home at night can be dangerous. Our caregivers will guide your loved ones through the house at night.
- Falls: Seniors have a higher risk of falling when moving throughout the home at night. We will ensure they move around safely by guiding them and removing any potential tripping hazards.
- Dementia home care: If your loved ones are affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia, they may wander in the middle of the night. Our caregivers will be there to respond and assist them in getting back to bed.
- Post-operative care at home: Sleeping at night can be difficult for those who have just returned home from surgery. We will help your loved ones get into bed and change positions as needed throughout the night.
