On December 16th, A Place At Home – Palmetto was proud to participate in a special “Aging in Place” educational event held at the Lakewood Ranch YMCA in Bradenton, Florida. The event was organized and sponsored by our trusted partner, Seniors Blue Book, with its Director of Sales, Tonia Olsen, and brought together seniors and families focused on learning how to age safely and comfortably in their own homes.
Connecting and Educating the Community
The event welcomed 25 engaged participants who joined us to hear valuable insights on aging well, home safety, and resources to support independent living. These community gatherings provide a meaningful opportunity to share knowledge and empower seniors and caregivers with tools to make informed decisions about in-home care.
We were honored to be part of this critical conversation and grateful for the chance to connect face-to-face with attendees who care deeply about maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Special Thanks to Mission Barbeque of Lakewood Ranch
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mission Barbeque of Lakewood Ranch for generously providing the food for the event. Their delicious meals added a warm, welcome touch that made the day even more memorable for everyone — and we genuinely appreciate their support in serving the community.
Strengthening Community Partnerships
Our ongoing partnership with Seniors Blue Book remains a valuable way for A Place At Home – Palmetto to support seniors and families throughout Manatee County. By participating in events like this, we can share information about compassionate, professional in-home care, answer questions, and help families navigate care options with confidence.
We look forward to future events and continued collaboration with Seniors Blue Book and our community partners as we work together to help seniors thrive where they feel most comfortable — at home.
