About Our at Home Care Services

A Place At Home started out of our founders’ own needs for support while navigating the uncertainty and anxiety of caring for aging loved ones. That’s why we’re so committed to providing excellent, consistent, and comprehensive at-home care to families throughout Omaha, Papillion, Gretna, Elkhorn and surrounding metro area, including the Council Bluffs, and Iowa area.

Meet Our Owner

Rick Perkins

Owner

Rick is a former counselor and manager who spent 20 years with Child and Adult Protective Services, as well as serving as Program Coordinator for the Juvenile Assessment Center. After witnessing the challenges for care and living transition for his 97-year old grandmother he became passionate about helping seniors age in their own homes with dignity.

Kris Perkins

Owner

Kris is a former 911 dispatcher and EMT, and worked in sales and deployment roles for Motorola Solutions, Inc. where she deployed public safety software across the United States. She hopes to relieve some of the stress on families when they’re faced with the decision to get help for their loved ones. The husband and wife team’s main goal is to help seniors stay in their home as long as it is a safe, viable option.

Meet the Team

Rebecca Matthews

Care Coordinator

Rebecca has spent the majority of her career working with seniors in long term care and rehabilitation communities in Nebraska. She spent almost a decade working in Social Services, and served as an Admissions Director prior to coming to A Place At Home. Rebecca loves being in a position to bring joy to others, and appreciates knowing that her clients know someone is working to ensure their needs are being met and that they are taken care of.

Stephanie Hulbert

Customer Experience Coordinator

Stephanie not only has 15 years of experience in customer service but also has an Associate’s in Business Administration and is an experienced CNA. Before coming to A Place at Home, she worked in a rehab facility helping others heal and recover safely and comfortably. Stephanie loves getting to know and understand others to best serve their needs to make their lives easier. She specializes in building customer relationships and providing excellent customer service.
