From Caregiver to Franchise Support: A Caregiver, An Opportunity, A Career Path

In 2015, Danielle was a 23-year-old first-time mom working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA). When she came across a job posting for an evening on-call position with an emerging in-home care agency, she applied. At the time, she was looking for a way to bring in a little extra money, sharing, “I was just trying to get by in life, honestly. I had just had a baby, and I was just trying to make sure the bills were paid.”

You’ll use your critical thinking skills to solve scheduling issues as they come up and you’ll be an integral part of maintaining the APAH culture among your team of caregivers.

As the Recruitment and Retention Specialist, you’ll draw on your experience as a caregiver and SSC to find and recruit caregivers. As the APAH Office Manager, you’ve successfully managed caregivers, clients, and their schedules. Now you’re responsible for managing the office as a whole. You hold the billing, payroll, and hiring processes in your hands.

As the agency Director, you’ve successfully worked every position in the APAH career path. You’re a proven professional in the senior care industry and  you’re passionate about serving others from a bigger perspective. The entire agency is under your purview.

Our ‘We are CARE’ philosophy is the core of your own personal values and has been incorporated into each role you’ve grown into over the years. Caregiver Reviews

A Place at Home is a great place to work. I have been working for them for just about two years now. The staff is extremely kind and flexible with both their employees and clients. It's a very positive environment and truly a fulfilling job. I wouldn't change anything about it!

Over the past four months I have had pleasure of working as a caregiver for A Place at Home. I was thoroughly impressed by the agency's diligence in ensuring that each client is happy with their care. They take the time to match caregivers to clients based on their skills and personalities. If you are in search of employment and enjoy working with older adults, I highly recommend applying. If you are a client, I think there are a lot of advantages to choosing a smaller agency that emphasizes compassion, accountability, respect, and ethics. Shout out to Jerome and Kaylee in the office, for making such a great work environment.
